Guglielmo Chiodi has been Full Professor of Economics at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, and is currently Member Professor at Fondazione Sapienza, University of Rome “La Sapienza” and President of “Nuova Accademia” (“New Academy”), Italy. He got his degree in Economics cum laude at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and afterwards at the University of Cambridge (GB), in which university he did his post-graduate studies between 1973-1976, as a winner of a National Researches Council Scholarship. Visiting Scholar at Lund University (Sweden) (Swedish Government Grant, 1979). Visiting Professor at the European University Institute, in Fiesole (Florence), 1984. Visiting Scholar at UCLA, 1992. PhD Program Director of the doctorate in Sociology and Applied Social Sciences, University of Rome “La Sapienza”, 2010-2015. Since 2017 he is President of the Nuova Accademia. He is the author of several articles in journals and books on monetary theory, the theory of value and distribution, with special regard to Classical economic theory.
