Open Access Policy

Academicus International Scientific Journal is a Diamond Open Access journal. All published articles are freely accessible online without subscription fees, and authors are not charged publication fees.

Readers may read, download, print, copy, distribute and link to published articles, subject to the terms of the journal's Creative Commons License of Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0).licence. Appropriate attribution to the author and the journal is required. Commercial reuse is not permitted under this licence without additional permission.

Commitment to Open Science

Academicus ISJ supports the principles of the UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science, adopted in November 2021. The journal participates in the Initiative for Open Citations (I4OC), which promotes the open availability of scholarly citation data, and supports the Initiative for Open Abstracts (I4OA), which promotes the open availability of scholarly abstracts.

Metadata and Interoperability

Academicus ISJ supports the exchange and harvesting of bibliographic metadata through the Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH). This protocol enables repositories, libraries and scholarly information services to collect and exchange metadata, improving the discoverability and interoperability of published research.

Digital Preservation

Published content from Academicus ISJ is preserved through Portico and deposited in the Epoka University Institutional Repository, which uses the DSpace platform. These arrangements support the long-term preservation and accessibility of the journal's scholarly record.

Copyright and Author Self-Archiving

Academicus ISJ is an open-access international journal. To protect the absolute integrity of the double-blind peer-review process, the journal does not accept or consider pre-prints, working papers, or manuscripts previously posted online. Furthermore, authors are strictly prohibited from self-archiving any preliminary drafts or revisions during the editorial and peer-review stages.

Authors are permitted to self-archive their work exclusively after official online publication on the Academicus ISJ website, and such self-archiving is restricted strictly to the final published version (Publisher’s Version -Definitive PDF). In all instances of self-archiving, Academicus International Scientific Journal must be formally acknowledged as the original publisher of record, accompanied by the full article citation and the active official DOI link.

Unlike commercial publishing models that utilize copyright for paywalls or financial monetization, Academicus ISJ holds copyright rights solely as an institutional legal safeguard. This legal standing empowers the journal to actively defend authors' intellectual property against web piracy, unauthorized commercial exploitation, content scraping, plagiarism, and fraudulent third-party distribution networks, guaranteeing that published works remain secure, authentic, and openly accessible to the international scientific community.
